What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the ancient art and eastern medicine discipline of inserting tiny needles into specific points or areas on the body to create a therapeutic healing effect. Stimulation of these specific points induces the release of beta-endorphins, serotonin, and other neurotransmitters that all aid in healing. Each acupuncture point has specific actions when stimulated. Acupuncture has been used all around the world either along with or in conjunction with Western medicine, and successfully treats so many conditions.
